Volunteer to deliver cookies and cheer August 22-23
For the past three years, UC Santa Cruz’s Government & Community Relations Department has been meeting neighbors at the annual city-wide Neighborhood Block Parties, dropping off a plate of homemade cookies and letting community members know they are appreciated.
For the past three years, UC Santa Cruz’s Government & Community Relations Department has been meeting neighbors at the annual city-wide Neighborhood Block Parties, dropping off a plate of homemade cookies and letting community members know they are appreciated. Each neighborhood is unique with some featuring music and dancing, food and festivities and everything in between. We visit neighborhoods from Midtown to High Street.
The goal is to connect with neighbors, and say hello.
The event runs August 22nd and August 23rd from 12-8 p.m. However, the amount of time typically ranges between 1-3 hours total. This year, we are looking for volunteers to be part of this event.
