New campus policy on International Travel
This initiative establishes assessment registration procedures to mitigate risks to individuals and universities associated with international university-related activities.
Following a public review during the previous winter, the Division of Finance, Operations, and Administration introduces a new campus policy on International Travel. This initiative establishes assessment registration procedures to mitigate risks to individuals and universities associated with international university-related activities.
While travelers have a significant responsibility for their own health, safety, and security, the university also has a duty of care to support the health, safety, and security of students and employees as they undertake the university’s mission. This responsibility is particularly acute when it comes to obligations to our undergraduate students, whether studying, traveling with a university staff or faculty member, or conducting research on their own.
The key provisions of this proposed policy include:
- Definitions for high-risk travel and very high-risk travel
- Registration for undergraduate students
- Assessment and registration for anyone traveling to very high-risk destinations
