Microsoft will end support of Windows 7 on January 14, 2020. When a vendor ends support, it can lead to security vulnerabilities, software incompatibility, compliance issues, and poor computer performance and reliability. It’s important that your computer is running the latest supported software and operating system.

Information about fall grades and guidance for students and faculty

UCPath is here!
We are delighted to report that UCPath is now live at UC Santa Cruz. UCPath is the University of California’s new Human Resources and Payroll Management system.

Planned campuswide electrical shutdown to be rescheduled
This shutdown, originally scheduled for December 26–30, has now been rescheduled for spring 2020. As a result, campus electrical services will be on as normal during the winter break.

UCPath will be live on Jan. 2 for all UCSC employees
UCPath will be live on Jan. 2. With the system going live in a new calendar year, employees can expect to see differences in tax withholdings and deductions.

On submitting fall quarter grades
Faculty members are responsible for assigning and submitting final course grades. While portions of student assessment may be delegated to teaching assistants and readers, ultimately the assignment and submission of grades is the responsibility of the faculty member (Senate faculty and non-Senate faculty), including those who have oversight of graduate student instructors.

In Memoriam: Varun Sethi
It is with great sadness that we write to share the news of the death of College Nine student, Varun Sethi. Varun passed away on Monday, December 9.
