Legal assistance for employees impacted by wildfires
The aftermath of the wildfire continues to impact so many in our community. We are pleased to share that resources are available for those faced with legal and financial issues resulting from the fires.

Wildfire relief grants awarded to employees, students
Through generous gifts from alumni, donors, and the campus community, UC Santa Cruz has been able to provide more than 60 grants to the employees who were most severely impacted.

Student Health Center will be closed for mandatory staff trainings during these dates and times.

Post-fire building assessment now complete
Effective immediately all facilities on the residential campus can resume their pre-evacuation status. The only activities that may resume are those that had been approved prior to the Aug. 20 evacuation through the COVID-19 resumption approval process.

Next phase of building resumption – additional buildings cleared to open
Effective immediately, the following buildings have been cleared by Chancellor Larive to reopen. These locations may only resume operations that were in effect on Aug. 20, 2020, prior to the campus emergency declaration, and approved through the COVID-19 resumption process.

Zoom Meeting Change – Sept. 9
Zoom is making a global change to all Zoom accounts that requires all meetings to have a Passcode or a Waiting Room enabled. ITS is implementing this change on Wednesday morning, Sept. 9 to all UCSC staff and functional accounts.
