Volunteer to deliver cookies and cheer August 22-23
For the past three years, UC Santa Cruz’s Government & Community Relations Department has been meeting neighbors at the annual city-wide Neighborhood Block Parties, dropping off a plate of homemade cookies and letting community members know they are appreciated.

Alison Sanders to serve as associate chancellor and chief of staff
Sanders has worked in higher education for more than 25 years and currently serves as assistant vice chancellor for academic affairs and chief of staff in the UC San Diego Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor.

Proposed increases to parking permits and program rates
New UC Santa Cruz parking rates, are effective 7/1/2026. Limited-day, monthly, and weekly permits will be prorated accordingly based on annual or academic year permit rates.
